Our goal is to mobilize the caring power of the community through volunteerism. From individual tutoring opportunities to group neighborhood beautification projects, we have hundreds of volunteer opportunities available.
Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering can mean whatever you want it to. Give an hour. Give an afternoon or a weekend. Give of yourself. Read to children. Deliver a hot meal to a homebound senior. Share your knowledge about taxes. Be a coach. Be a friend. Be a mentor. Do what you can, when you can. It’s a great way to put your talents to work, learn new skills, meet new people, improve your health, and make a difference.
Please click here to search the United Way of CT 2-1-1 portal which lists a number of local volunteer opportunities.
United Way can help your group, club or company align its philanthropic goals with volunteerism. Strengthen your company, develop teamwork and support your community through volunteerism. Your volunteers will see firsthand the impact a partnership with United Way makes.

Agency Volunteer Opportunities
If you would like to post a volunteer opportunity on the United Way of Connecticut 2-1-1 portal, please see below:
The 2-1-1 staff recommended to first check their www.211ct.org website for your agency listing to see if Volunteer Opportunities are already listed. If that service is not listed, (or the agency is not yet in our database), you can fill out the electronic form in the link below to update or add your information. Those replies come directly to the appropriate department at 2-1-1 and they will put the information into the database.
If you would like to support our work in volunteer engagement, you can donate HERE!
