Increase Affordable Housing & Reduce Homelessness

Stable housing builds a stable community, and affordable housing is a cornerstone of economic development. United Way is committed to supporting communities in planning housing choices for families and individuals in Coastal Fairfield County. Financial stability starts with efforts to end homelessness and proceeds along the housing continuum from affordable rentals to homeownership opportunities for first-time buyers. The United Way is an active partner in the Fairfield Collaborative for Affordable Housing and is a key stakeholder in the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness.
