The 2008 United Way of Coastal Fairfield County Day of Caring will be a Book Drive!

Help area children turn the pages to a brighter future.

You can LIVE UNITED and help children in the Coastal Fairfield County Region, ages birth to 10 years old, with their education success!  Your participation will help build school, classroom and home libraries, so that every child receives the gift of reading.

With your help, United Way will collect 22,500 books to inspire early literacy for more than 10,000 children in Coastal Fairfield County. Your participation will help build school, classroom and home libraries so that every child receives the gift of reading.

You and your company can become involved in a variety of ways!!

• Hold a book drive at your company any time between October 6th and October 24th.
• Participate with your employees in the Day of Caring Activities on October 29th
• Make things even easier, GO VIRTUAL!

You can make a donation toward brand-new books online.  Your tax-deductible donation allows you to donate brand-new, age appropriate books for as little as $2 per book.

Our Book Wizard, UnitedHealthcare, will match the first $500 in online contributions so that your gift buys twice the amount of books and brings twice the amount of joy to kids in our area!

We will keep you up-to-date on Book Drive happenings, highlight companies’ successes and provide tips to make your company’s book drive successful.
